Opting for autumnal hues in place of their usual summery sparkle, Sail Becomes a Kite is a surprising left-turn for The Bank Holidays, whose previous output has been exemplified by a giddy joyousness. Yet, still present among the moodier, more filmic atmosphere is the band's indisputable grasp of melody and compelling song-writing.

DOWNLOAD TAKEAWAY TUNES LIVE SESSION

For the recent WAMI Festival, Love Is My Velocity (our favourite Perth-based record label/publishers/event creators), opened a pop-up shop dubbed Takeaway Tunes.

As well as selling music products released by Western Australia labels and bands, they also had a couple of bands play in the store each day, recorded the results, and stuck it up on the internet.
